FIRE CHIEF
Position Overview:
The Fire Chief should be professional command level fire officer, with demonstrated experience leading a fire department, and who embraces a high level of personal and departmental accountability. The selected candidate should have extensive knowledge of fire suppression, emergency medical service, fire prevention, and emergency management.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- EMT Cardiac, EMT Advance (preferred)
- RI FF1-FF2 with Hazmat certification.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Fire Department operation, with 5-years of command experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science or Management or any equivalent combination of education, training and work experience.
